Why ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥
I chose ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥â€™s Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program because I appreciated the course schedule — breaking up the clinical rotation cycle throughout the program. I love traveling, so the global education opportunities helped me broaden my perspectives within my career.
Both the ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ community and D.P.T. program have always been so welcoming and supportive throughout my education journey. Their resources, patience, and commitment to making sure you succeed while meeting you where you’re at has been extremely beneficial to me.
Service Learning in Action
Service means everything to me. I experience an immense amount of growth every time I volunteer at a service event, whether that be personally, professionally, or spiritually. Each opportunity to give back to my community is an extra reminder of my gratitude for what I have and what I can offer to others around me. Being a Service Learning Liaison for my profession and cohort allowed me to share that passion and those opportunities with them as well.
During my time at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥, I also had the pleasure of meeting a diverse population on campus and in the Portland area. I learned how to connect my future profession in physical therapy, which is inherently rooted in service, to a broader commitment to serving others beyond the clinical setting. For that, I am incredibly grateful for my experiences as a student volunteer and for the space to continue my passion for community service that I will take with me into my career.
