The Office of the Provost priorities center on academic excellence and student success. Students are at the heart of all ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ does — promoting their success in the classroom, in the lab, on campus, through innovative experiential learning opportunities, and, ultimately, throughout their future as they leave ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ and become alumni. The ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ experience is nothing short of transformational; students graduate as changed individuals, prepared for and excited about the next phase of their lives. Our office is all about supporting students as they undergo this transformation, and providing a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment in which to do so.

From our historical roots grounded in providing educational opportunities to marginalized populations to the high percentage of first-generation college students among our community, you could say community and belonging is in our DNA. Our Global Education Program offerings — from short-term travel courses to full semester abroad experiences at our beautiful campus in Tangier, Morocco — immerse students in rich cultural discovery leading to newfound personal and geographic connections.

As the university with the most NIH funding in the state of Maine and an R2 classification, ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ provides abundant opportunities for students to engage in research experiences.
